Anotace titulu

These 17 fun tunes for cello and piano are ideal for every party time and conjure up a variety of scenes and images to fire the young player's imagination. They are also skilfully written for beginners, with the shapes of tunes reinforcing basic fingering patterns and with simple technical matters gently presented. Children will enjoy the infectious rhythm of 'Jazz Waltz', the foot-stomping, folk-like melody of 'Hungarian Dance' and the pizzicato of 'Cool Blues', in which the cellist becomes the laid-back rhythm section of a jazz duo. In progressive order of difficulty, these pieces provide practice of note reading on all the strings in first position (including some second finger), pizzicato, bow retakes and simple slurs.
