Anotace knihy

Examines the efforts of several secondary schools to bring today's computer technology into the school. Each section focuses on the story of one school's efforts and ends with a discussion of the impact of computer technology on that school's students and of the school's plans for its uses in the future. The resulting accounts, by administrators, faculty and students, are at once instructive and inventive, wry and funny. Included are chapters on how one school used technology to create an effective intranet, how an instructor built a web site with the help of a student (who became the teacher), and how an administrator and department chair collaborated to develop a hyper-text site that cross-indexed their school's curriculum.
