T.S. Many philosophers and poets interested Eliot,and he used their theories eclectically until heformulated his own total vision that encompassedhistory, spirituality, poetic and criticalprinciples, love, but especially, a sense of themystical presence of the Absolute. The author tracesthe progression of mystical elements from selectedEliot poems dating from 1909 to 1942.
