The details of operations have been purposely omitted, as the manual is intended more especially to meet the requirements of the general practitioner in his every-day work. No illustrations have been given, as these increase greatly the expense in production, and it is extremely doubtful whether they ever are, in this branch of medicine, of any practical utility.
