When Eliana Tilton receives a summons from her step-uncle to visit him in Boston, she is none too thrilled. After her parents' death, her uncle became her guardian-a situation she can barely tolerate. She is shocked to learn that her uncle has lost her entire inheritance, leaving her penniless.
