Older people in Africa stand at a crossroad. Their position in the family and society is no longer taken for granted. Their knowledge may not be seen relevant anymore by the younger generation. Patrick Atuobi and Anthony Obeng Boamah are citiens of Kwahu-Tafo (Ghana). Sjaak van der Geest is a Dutch anthropologist who has been visiting the town for more than thirty years.
