This volume is one of a set of concise, well-illustrated and authoritative studies of natural and experimental lesions of laboratory animals (rat, mouse and hamster) arranged by organ systems. The volume Integument and Mammary Glands includes not only neoplastic but also non-neoplastic lesions as well as the effects of toxins. It proposes a standard, international nomenclature that is particularly important for the documentation and evaluation of pathologic data produced in safety studies. Emphasis is also given to precise differential diagnostic criteria.
