This book is based on a study of the forest birds of the Eastern Ghats of Tamil Nadu, India. The book covers the habitat use of 271 species of birds. These birds vary in their relative abundance from habitat to habitat. Around 16 species are classified as Rare, Endemic and Threatened birds.
