The definition of a list of elements that determine the visual quality of the landscape, presented as a basic tool to deepen the knowledge of the territory and justify interventions in the environment. The various approaches consider the elements resulting from two different perspectives: one that integrates the components related to the configuration elements of the visual territory, and another that relates to variables that determine the landscape perception and its assessment. This article identifies and characterizes each of the groups of components and variables based on their origin or physical state.
