About this Book :Quaternary depositional environments and the micro-relief relict landforms that develop in such sedimentary formations provide clues to reconstruct paleo sea levels and concomitant geomorphic processes. In India, studies on Quaternary coastal sediments have gained importance in recent decades to understand the Quaternary depositional environments, sea level changes and the neotectonic activity, especially along the country's eastern coast. The present study is a geomorphological approach. This book comprises five chapters emphsizing the Quaternary geomorphic features, morpho-stratigraphy along with their evolutionary phases and environmental degradation in this part on the east coast of India.
