This book investigates critical issues related to forest resource management in some districts in Indonesia: Merangin, Jambi Province, Gunung Mas, Central Kalimantan, Simalungun, North Sumatera, Kulon Progo, Jogyakarta and so on. First, it emphasizes how forest land conversion from coffee plantations, palm oil, and mining resulted in deforestation. Second, how local government policy responses on deforestation.
