Anotace knihy

On or about July 8, 2014 there were filed with the New York State Board of Elections certain papers allegedly constituting petitions purporting to designate for the September 9, 2014 Democratic Party Primary Election Sam Sloan, Candidate for the Democratic Party nomination for Governor, Nenad Bach Candidate for the Democratic Party nomination for Lieutenant Governor and Geeta Rankoth Candidate for the Democratic Party nomination for Comptroller of New York State. These petitions included more than 4000 numbered pages and were facially valid and regular with a cover sheet consistent with New York Election Law and the Rules of the Board of Elections of the State of New York. Upon information and belief the said New York State Board of Elections improperly illegally and in violation of the United States Constitution 14th Amendment due process clause and under the New York State Constitution at an official meeting on August 1, 2014 threw them off the ballot without ever informing Sam Sloan, Candidate for the Democratic Party nomination for Governor, Nenad Bach Candidate for the Democratic Party nomination for Lieutenant Governor and Geeta Rankoth Candidate for the Democratic Party nomination for Comptroller of New York State that there would be a hearing and determination of the validity of their petitions and the possibility of their signatures being invalidated. 2. Order and decree and direct the New York State Board of Elections to restore the names of Sam Sloan, Nenad Bach and Geeta Rankoth to the ballot as Candidates for the Democratic Party nomination for Governor, Lieutenant Governor and Comptroller of New York State to be printed and placed on the official ballots to be used either at the September 9, 2014 Democratic Primary Election and the November 4, 2014 General Election and why the Petitioners should not have such other and further relief as to this court may seem just and proper.
