Richard Burns arrived in Vietnam at the close of 1967 and was immediately thrust into the middle of the Tet Offensive. As a Pathfinder in the 101st Screaming Eagles, his job often placed him alone on a hot LZ, guiding in helicopters under heavy enemy fire. His devotion to duty and unstinting bravery won him the Silver Star, the Bronze Star, and the Purple Heart among other awards. This is the story of one of the most elite units in Vietnam.
