Excerpt from Zebulon, or the Moral Claims of Seamen Stated and Enforced Harris to the Christians of America on the moral claims of our own seamen. We judged it indispensable to this end, that appeals to sympathies peculiarly English, should be erased, and that the statistics of our own com merce and benevolent Operations in 'behalf of seamen should be substituted for those of England. The origi nal title of Britannia has been rejected, and from the various substitutes which have occurred to us, we have selected (not without distrust,) that of Zebulon, the name of the tribe in Israel who dwelt by the haven Of ships.
