Author Stefania G.Gísladóttir grew up on a farm on the east coast of Iceland, the youngest of nine siblings. She married an Australian man and now lives in rural Kendenup, Western Australia. The mother of four and grandmother of two boys, she works part-time as an aged care worker delivering home and community care to the elderly. She says, "The poems knock on my door. There is a divine feeling of fulfillment when I have communicated what I see, feel and sense into a written text, yet it may still only be a skeleton.
