The perspectives of this anthology depart from everyday life of the twenty million inhabitants of Mexico City. Recent global restructuring processes have their impacts on the spatial and social patterns of the city: Places, their use and the different ways of appropriating spaces are changing. However, the political culture of informal negotiation - genuine to this city - remains the predominant transformer.
