Rachel is a successful model in LA. Tired of the shallowness of the fashion model industry, she, her dog, and her best friend Tunisha drive together to Joshua Tree with her 57 Thunderbird so she can take a time out. The visit of two catwalk models shows her how much she has distanced herself from this world. Things develop an own dynamic, her time out turns out to be something totally different. Rachel is looking for her Indian roots and meet the crazy Dominique who influences Rachel to be into rock climbing. A car break down with the thunderbird brings Rachel back to reality. She is lost in the desert and experiences a haboob (sand storm).
