With Naro and Brote's armies decimated, both gods have one last chance to shift the balance of power in their favor. Brote finally allows his female sun jiva to control sun energy and sends them to destroy Night City. Naro takes control of the minds of the peaceful jiva and sends them to destroy Sun City. Then, he has to travel to Night City with his lover Selva, where Naro's most powerful daughter, Naria, awaits. Selva discovers Vyas's affair with Naria and it threatens to tear them apart when Crevahn needs them to help her save the world.
