In 1995 Tritt was an awarded an honorary doctorate for his work in religious tolerance and for the creation of TurningPoint, a non-profit program providing alternative medicine to low-income individuals. He continues that passion today with his wife in their healthcare clinic, the Tritt Wellness Center.
