The Irish Hellfire Club, the setting for many of these terrifying tales, is a foreboding hunting lodge built back in the early eighteenth century, perched atop the Dublin Mountains. People who ran the club drank and partied in the Devil's name and to the damnation of the church and the almighty God himself. It was because of this that, on a stormy night, a stranger arrives, seeking shelter. But when he joins in a game of cards, a member of the household drops a card and sees that below the table, the stranger has a cloven-hoof. In The Crossover, three friends on their way up to the Hellfire Club experience strange occurrences which have them questioning their own fate. In Never Touch What You Don't Understand, after using a Ouija board at the club, three friends find themselves in danger by an unseen menace controlling one of their minds. And an out of work security guard in A Night of Frights unwillingly takes the job of minding the Hellfire Club, but something doesn't want him to leave this job alive. Author Jason Stanbridge is a native of Ireland and has been writing since the age of thirteen. A natural storyteller, Jason is drawn to stories that scare people and things that go bump in the night.
