It is interesting to read the controversy in the columns of the Magazine and the arguments in opposition, not to taking part in them, but to allowing them to be held, on the ground that they were in bad taste, that the chapel services furnished all the religious stimulus the students required, that they were a travesty on religion, and their promoters actuated by the unworthy motive of securing professorial approval.
