Die historische Stadtmauer mit 17 erhaltenen Türmen prägen das Stadtbild. Neben den zahlreichen beeindruckenden Fachwerkhäusern finden wir in der ganzen Stadt Türme und Portale aus dem heimischen Travertin. Neun thematische Gärten umsäumen den Stadtkern und sorgen für einen einmaligen grünen Gürtel. Ein beeindruckendes Wassersystem, ausgehend vom Namensgeber - dem Flüsschen Salza - lässt die ehemalige Stadt der Mühlen wieder in Erinnerung bringen.§Nahe Bad Langensalza befindet sich der Nationalpark Hainich mit seinen zahlreichen Wanderwegen und dem einmaligen Baumkronenpfad an der Thiemsburg.§932 wurde Langensalza erstmalig urkundlich als "Salzaha" erwähnt. Mit der Entdeckung der Schwefelquellen 1811 begann der Weg zur Kurstadt. Ab 1956 durfte sich die Stadt "Bad" Langensalza nennen. Neben dem ersten Badehaus 1812, einem Kurmittelhaus 1928, eröffnete 1998 die Rehaklinik "An der Salza" und 1999 die Friederiken Therme.§Seit 2002 kann sich Bad Langensalza Rosenstadt nennen und drei Jahre später erhielt die Stadt das Prädikat Schwefel-Sole-Heilbad. Bad Langensalza appears as a districtive health resort- and rose town with aspecial medieval appearance. The Historical town wall with 17 (seventeen) preserved towers characterize the townscape. Beside the numerous impressive half- timbered houses we find towers and main entrances from native Travertin in the whole town. 9 (nine) thematic gardens surround the town centre and provide for a unique green belt. An impressive water system, outgoing from the name giver - the rivulet "Salza" - allows bringing the former town of the mills in remembrance again. Near Bad Langensalza you can find the National park Hainich with its numerous hike lanes and the unique Tree top path at the Thiemsburg. Langensalza was first mentioned in a document in 932 as "Salzaha". With the discovery of the sulphur springs in 1811 it began to become a Health resort town. From 1956 the town is allowed to be called "Bad" Langensalza. Beside the first bath house 1812, a health resort means house 1928 opened the Rehabilitation centre "at the Salza" in 1998 and the Friederiken thermal bath in 1999. Since 2002 Bad Langensalza can be called a rose town and three years later the town received the predicate sulphur - sole - medicinal bath.
