With its winding old town streets, castles and palaces, sophisticated office buildings, prestigious museums and lively squares, Berlin was one of the most architecturally interesting cities in Europe until its destruction during World War II. This collection of around 130 colour photographs, taken between 1900 and 1940, invites you to stroll through the old Berlin: from Alexanderplatz to the Stadtschloss, along Unter den Linden and Friedrichstrasse, across the Gendarmenmarkt and from there through the Brandenburg Gate to the Zoological Garden.
